Process systems - BEER
RAPIDmix-HGB is blending and carbonating system when Beer is brewed according to the High Gravity Brewing (HGB). The system can also be used for production of Beer mix drinks (cola Beer).
The system precisely regulates the inline blending of Beer with De-aerated water and carbonation. The flow of de-aerated water and mixed beer (product) are measured by electromagnetic flow meters. The flow of de-aerated water is precisely controlled by high accuracy proportional valve as per the set mixing ratio on the controller. The high pressure pump feed the product for carbonation. Precisely regulated CO2 is dissolved in the product by special designed in-line CO2 injector to achieve micro carbonation. The carbonated beer is visually inspected on the sight glass at the outlet of carbonation.
In-line original gravity, Extracts, Alcohol and CO2 content are continuously monitored. The mixing ratio of the beer and de-aerated water can be regulated from the controller to achieve final quality parameters. The fully automatic PLC based system is equipped with high accuracy instruments and actuators, which makes the complete system reliable and user friendly. The complete system is CIP capable and designed for high hygienic standards.
The customised systems are available in versions:
RAPIDde-air is Hot De-aeration system; de-aerates water to a residual oxygen concentration less than 12 ppb and at the same time the water is pasteurized. The function of the system can be monitored by an in-line oxygen analyzer at the outlet of the system. Optionally it can be cooled down, filtered or pre-carbonised. The process can be adopted in the Brewing, Beverages, Food & Chemical industries, wherever water with lowest oxygen content is required to assure high product quality and stability. The system is designed for high operational reliability, high heat recuperation up to 90 % and low consumption. Microbiological safety is ensured by the simultaneous pasteurization of the water.
The water is heated up to 75 Deg. C. in plate heat exchanger. The heating of water is done by the low pressure steam (@ 3 Bar); which is fed to the top of the stripping column. The water flows down through structured packing in counter current flow to the stripping gas (CO2). The long contact between water and stripping gas is ensured by well-structured packing so as to CO2 get dissolved in the water up to the level of 0.6 – 0.7 g/ltr. The oxygen dissipates out in the process
The de-aerated water is pumped from the bottom of the column and fed to PHE where it is cooled to 2 – 3 Deg. C. by glycol. All the process parameters like temperature, flow, level, residual oxygen level are monitored in-line during the complete process. The automatic operation is controlled by PLC. Operating and process parameters are monitored on touch HMI.
